Plagiarism Policy

All manuscripts submitted to the Feedback International Journal of Communication (FIJC) undergo plagiarism screening using Turnitin prior to the peer-review process. This screening is conducted to ensure the originality of submissions and to uphold the highest standards of academic integrity and ethical publishing.

As a general guideline, manuscripts should have an overall similarity index of no more than 20%, excluding references, quotations, and properly cited sources. However, editorial decisions are not based solely on the similarity percentage. The Editorial Board carefully evaluates the nature, context, and source of the matched text to distinguish acceptable similarity from potential plagiarism.

Manuscripts containing evidence of plagiarism, duplicate publication, excessive unattributed text overlap, or other forms of academic misconduct may be rejected without proceeding to peer review. In cases where the overlap is considered minor and does not constitute plagiarism, authors may be requested to revise the manuscript before further editorial consideration.

Authors are solely responsible for ensuring that their submissions are original, accurately cited, and comply with the journal's ethical standards. By submitting a manuscript to FIJC, authors confirm that the work is their own, has not been published elsewhere, is not under consideration by another journal, and appropriately acknowledges the work of others through proper citation and referencing.

FIJC follows the ethical principles and recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) in handling suspected plagiarism and other forms of publication misconduct.
